  We have bought a variety of items here over the years and been very happy. But an oak 2-drawer file about ten years ago was an issue. The brackets supporting the rear of the drawer glides were plastic, and one or more failed on different occasions, causing the loaded drawers to drop. The load on the brackets was overhung, and I believe the plastic aged and became brittle. Stone Barn had provided replacement brackets, and I crawled in there and installed them. When the same thing happened again recently -- I guess the fourth time -- and this time three of the four supports had broken, I lost patience. This file is a 'lifetime' quality piece which I could see others inheriting, yet here was a weakness that would give future owners problems every few years. Would they be able to find the parts? I had some communication problems with Stone Barn at first with not getting a return call as promised, but then they stepped right up. They had a shop install blocking to mount the glides to the cabinet, and in fact replaced the glides, completely correcting the problem. The job was done in about a week, free of charge. I did have to drive there and back twice, each round trip about 3-1/2 hours, but it was worth it and we tied in other activities. And the piece was ten years old. Thank You!
